How to care for your cupro garment ?
Cupro is a soft and fluid fabric, valued for its elegant drape and velvety feel. While it is relatively easy to care for, a few simple steps will help preserve its beauty over time.
Washing
- Wash your piece at a maximum of 30°C (85°F) on a delicate cycle. Use a mild detergent and avoid bleaching agents, which could damage the fiber.
- Pieces made from a cupro-elastane blend may stretch slightly when worn. They generally return to their original shape after washing.
Rinsing
- A thorough rinse in cold water is the secret to preserving the velvety softness and unique fluidity of your cupro piece.
Drying
- Air drying out of direct sunlight is best. Tumble drying is not recommended, as it can weaken the fibers and alter the garment's drape.
Ironing
- If necessary, iron your piece inside out on a low heat setting. Light steaming can also be enough to restore its full fluidity.
- Dry cleaning is also an option.
Small actions that make a difference
Avoid the tumble dryer to preserve the fabric's fluidity
Choose a gentle spin cycle to reduce creasing
Hang your piece on a hanger after washing to encourage natural wrinkle release
Always iron on a low temperature setting to avoid damaging the fibers
Follow the care instructions on the label, especially for pieces blending multiple fabrics
