Rouje and Simrane join forces to create a collection designed for the home, with colorful prints blending heritage and art of living.
For over 50 years, Simrane has collaborated with Indian artisans to bring to life textile creations crafted entirely by hand. Each piece - cushion, tablecloth, bedspread - is printed using the ancestral block print technique, where the motif is applied block by block, color by color. Up to thirty passes are required for the most refined designs. Once printed, the fabrics are air-dried, allowing the light to reveal the unique brilliance of the shades. Small irregularities are the signature of artisanal workmanship, the mark of time and know-how handed down from generation to generation.
