L'histoire de Rouje

2016

It all began in the spring of 2016. Jeanne Damas and her team launched the first Rouje collection, along with a vision of the Parisian woman: free, sensual, and true to herself. It wasn’t just a brand that was born; it was a wardrobe conceived as a natural fit the one we’d always dreamed of having but could never find embodying the inimitable style of Parisian women.

2017

That year saw the debut of the Gabin dress. With its floral print, wrap-around design, and instantly recognizable look, it would become the brand’s absolute bestseller and the symbol of a style that would be copied everywhere.
Part of its appeal lies in its rare ability to flatter every body type: its cut hugs and highlights every figure without ever excluding anyone. A piece that has become a signature the kind that defines a brand for years to come.

2019

Rouje makes its first forays into the U.S. market: a pop-up in Los Angeles’ Culver City neighborhood, followed by a second one in New York on Prince Street. These two ventures highlight the appeal of Parisian style across the Atlantic.
That same year, in September, the brand finally establishes a foothold in Paris with its first boutique on Rue Bachaumont in the 2nd arrondissement. A physical showcase for a brand that had previously existed solely online, marking the moment when Rouje became a destination as much as a signature.

2020

Rouje goes beyond fashion by partnering with the Maisons des Femmes organization to support the Restart program, which is dedicated to helping women who have experienced violence rebuild their lives. Because dressing women also means standing by their side when everything seems to be falling apart.
For Rouje, solidarity, dignity, and sisterhood are not just words: they are values embodied in concrete actions. Every season since then, Rouje has created upcycled pieces, with proceeds donated to the Fondation des Femmes.

2022

The Rouje universe is expanding with the launch of its beauty line, Les Filles en Rouje, designed as a natural extension of the clothing collection. Complexion, lips, eyes: the promise of a wardrobe becomes that of a face.
Clean, vegan products, made with 98% naturally derived ingredients and produced in Europe, designed as beautiful everyday objects the kind you’re just as happy to leave out on your vanity as to slip into your bag.

2023

It was a busy year, much like a brand coming into its own. In January, Rouje unveiled its first fully upcycled collection, made from 2,000 meters of fabric and 332 kilograms of reused yarn; the rest of the materials are never wasted, but donated to the Esmod fashion school and the Emmaus charity thrift store: 6,399 meters in 2022 and 6,776 meters in 2023 to train the talents of tomorrow in the fashion industry.

In June, the brand crossed the Atlantic for good by opening its New York boutique, establishing a permanent presence following its temporary pop-ups. That same month, Jeanne partnered with Lamine Kouyaté, founder of XULY.Bët, for a charity capsule collection, with all proceeds donated to the Maison des Femmes association. A year in which Rouje combined expansion with social consciousness, without ever pitting one against the other.

2024

Rouje dives into the world of collaborations by teaming up with the Moulin Rouge for a partnership that celebrates a certain French "art de vivre". Between the flamboyant world of cabaret and the timeless elegance of the Rouje wardrobe, two symbols of the capital come together and resonate with one another.
They share the same fascination with women, the same way of blending boldness and refinement, spectacle and intimacy. An encounter where femininity becomes freedom, sensuality, and celebration all at once.

2025

At the end of winter, Helena Christensen, a timeless icon, becomes the brand’s muse, embodying a free-spirited femininity that transcends eras without ever going out of style.

Come summer, Rouje crosses the ocean with J.Crew for a collection themed “When Paris Meets NYC,” where Parisian chic and American style come together.

In the fall, Rouje explores new territory with Aigle, offering a feminine reinterpretation of 100% French outdoor expertise. Proof that Rouje elegance can also get some fresh air without compromising its allure.

2026

Rouje is celebrating its tenth anniversary. To mark the occasion, the brand is unveiling a special anniversary capsule collection inspired by cinema a nod to the imagination that has always shaped its aesthetic and is opening the doors to Café Rouje, a vibrant space where style becomes an experience to be shared.
Ten years after its debut, Rouje remains as committed as ever to helping you look your best, with the same enthusiasm as on day one.
